D.C. Greenworks is no longer offering stand-alone job training programs. We perform all of our job training and apprenticeship activities on-the-job while building greenroofs throughout the Washington, D.C. area.

Our hands-on, on-the-job apprenticeship programs are specifically designed to serve people with an interest and aptitude in green skills, but for whom current horticultural programs are unavailable, inaccessible or delivered in inappropriate formats. We specialize in training people who do not typically have access to computers or private transportation, and who may not have extensive academic backgrounds or strong English skills.

All of our training include training materials, textbooks, and safety equipment.

Job Placement Assistance
Our commitment to our students doesn’t stop once class is over. We also provide:

• Partnership with consultants, local CDCs, youth service programs, and job training programs. We can link our green skills training to your job-readiness, job placement, Youth Opportunity, Project Empowerment, and workforce development programs.
• Assistance with placement in green jobs through partnerships with local businesses, regional green employers, and the D.C. Office of Employment Services. Such services may include a recruiting fair, resume workshops, and interview workshops.
